Our Story
Random but Intentional
Kindness takes courage—often more courage than we realize we have.
We've all heard that random acts of kindness can make a lasting impact, but they aren't always easy. Stepping outside our comfort zone can feel uncomfortable. We worry about being vulnerable, saying the wrong thing, or convincing ourselves that kindness has to be something grand to matter. Too often, those fears keep us from acting at all.
When we made the decision to prioritize kindness in everything we do, we knew our efforts needed to be intentional. We asked ourselves one simple question: What outcome do we want?
The answer was simple—we wanted to brighten someone's day.

That purpose became the foundation for our kindness initiatives. We created journals to encourage reflection, enamel pins that served as daily reminders, and small cards with uplifting messages inside. Rather than simply handing someone a card, we would ask them to open it and read it aloud.
At first, we were a little apprehensive. We wondered if people would be hesitant or uncomfortable. Instead, something unexpected happened.
Every person we approached gladly opened the card. Almost every conversation turned into something more meaningful than we had imagined. People shared stories, memories, and moments from their own lives. Complete strangers opened up in ways we never anticipated. They smiled. They laughed. Some became emotional. What began as a simple gesture became a genuine human connection.

That was the greatest gift of all.

Our hope has never been that someone remembers us. Our hope is that they remember how they felt in that moment—and that they choose to pass that feeling on to someone else.
Kindness doesn't have to be random to change the world. It can be thoughtful. It can be purposeful. It can be intentional.

Because kindness takes courage.
And courage, just like kindness, is contagious.
